SmartStart Toolbox I is designed to help parents
facilitate thinking and learning in their internationally
adopted children of ages 3 to 5. The Program offers specific
activities that focus on processes that have been found
to positively influence the cognitive development of young
children. The
program is designed with the basic needs and problems of
newly internationally adopted preschool age children in
mind. It attempts to maintain a link between home and future
school-based learning, promoting bonding between children
and parents through shared family activities.
