Jody Sciortino has been in the social work field for 26 years. She has worked in a variety  of settings specializing in work with children and families, adoption, abuse, and trauma. Jody’s past positions have included coordinator of a psychiatric clinic, executive director of an international adoption agency and the social work director for an international hosting program.

Jody has a special interest and passion for the adoption of the older children. She is a strong proponent of parent education and training in adoption and especially enjoys “parent coaching” and post adoption counseling. Personally, Jody and her husband are the adoptive parents of three children—two adopted domestically at birth and their eldest  daughter, now 19, came home from Russia at 13. Jody is an adult adoptee.
