for Cognitive-Developmental Assessment and Remediation – will
speak about the dynamic of English language learning and the effects
of native language attrition in children, learning English as a second
language.
Jesse Snedeker, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Psychology, Harvard University – will present a review of current research on typical language development and the projects at Harvard on language development in intentionally adopted children. Michelle Mentis, Ph.D., Speech & Language Pathologist – private practice and Adjunct Associate Professor of Communication Disorders, Boston University's Sargent College – will present a practitioner's insights concerning red flags, when to seek assessment and therapy, and how to foster healthy language development. |
