MEDIATED BY TRAUMA:
HOW TO RECOGNIZE AND REMEDIATE ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES
The workshop will
focus on the means of
identification and remediation of trauma
in the context of school, family,
and community.
Our experts,
Boris Gindis, PhD, a licensed psychologist
and
Jennifer Griesback, a licensed clinical
social worker,
practice and conduct research in the field of childhood trauma
with a diverse population,
such as internationally adopted children, victims of neglect and
family violence.
The parents of traumatized children will share their experiences.
The workshop will concentrate on how to raise the awareness of
childhood trauma and create an effective trauma-informed and resilience-building,
remedial practices in our schools,
mental health facilities, and families.
